Dr. Christine James


Dr. James started working as a locum veterinarian at Norwood Veterinary Services in 2014. She recently defended her MSc. thesis in the Department of Pathobiology, University of Guelph. Christine lives on a farm with her family. When not working, she spends her time running her kids to the arena for hockey and attending 4H beef club events.

Dr. Leslie Scott


Dr. Scott started working at the Norwood Veterinary Services as a locum in 2017. Leslie takes pleasure in taking care of animals and their people. She graduated from Ontario Veterinary College in 2003. She is lucky enough to live on a farm near Hastings with her husband and two girls, their 2 dogs, 2 cats, chickens and 2 pony.

Dr. Tyler Elliott


Dr. Elliott started working as locum Veterinarian at Norwood Veterinary Services in May of 2019. He graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2015. He is originally from the Rocky Mountains (Wyoming and Montana) and now lives near Lake Ontario with his two Border Collies two Cats and wonderful fiancée.

Dr. Kelly Wasylciw


Dr. Kelly started working at Norwood Veterinary Services in 2020 as a locum. She graduated from Ontario Veterinary College in 2014. She loves working with a variety of species and enjoys her free time on a property in Douro shared with her loving husband and their dog.


Head Registered Veterinary Technician

Samantha graduated from Georgian College in 2013 and has worked in the field ever since. With a passion for animal medicine, she is thrilled to provide the highest quality care and service to all of our patients and their humans! She has a little boy (Brayden), 2 dogs (Kallie, Mister) and 3 cats (Phantom, Silverstein, Mocha) which take up most of her spare time!


Registered Veterinary Technician

Kelli joined the team in May of 2020 after working with Dr Scott and Dr James as a high school student 10 years ago! She graduated from the University of Guelph with a degree in Animal Biology in 2014 before deciding to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine including behaviour, nutrition and surgery. In her free time you can find her hiking with her dog Maverick, riding horses, or spending time with her own retired horse at home on her family farm near Hastings.


Registered Veterinary Technician

Leanne is an outgoing and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technologist that graduated from Northern College’s Veterinary Technician Program in 2009 and then graduated from a third year of Wildlife Rehabilitation. Leanne has used her skills through the years in companion animal practice and Referral/Emergency Medicine. In her role as a RVT, Leanne enjoys educating clients, animal behavior, surgical anesthesia, taking care of hospitalized patients and of course snuggling cats and dogs! She is a huge nature lover; some would even say a nature nerd. So, when she is not working as an RVT she is on a hike, looking for birds or camping in the woods with her two dogs; Tanner and Fern. Leanne also spends time at home with her soon to be husband and their cat Cam.  


Veterinary Technician

Colleen joined our team in September 2019. She has had a passion and love of animals for as long as she can remember. She graduated from the veterinary technology program at Ridgetown College in 2010. Colleen enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine including educating clients, nutrition, hospitalization and emergency care. When Colleen is not working she enjoys spending time with her family at the cottage. She shares her home with her husband Bryce and their daughter Allie, plus their two golden retrievers Brodie and Dusty and cat named Monty.


Veterinary Assistant

Abi is in her third year of Biology at Trent University. After doing her high school co op at the clinic where she fell in love with animal care, she decided that she wanted to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, and plan to attend Ontario Veterinary College after finishing her Biology degree. She has two kitties named Morpheus and Athena that keep her very busy at home!


Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Chloe is a recent graduate from Trent University where she has obtained a degree in Biology and has plans to attend Ontario Veterinary College. Chloe enjoys learning more about medicine, from every patient that she meets. She is compassionate and driven, she spends her free time volunteering at animal sanctuaries. Chloe has two fur-babies,

a Shih tzu named Louie and a recently adopted kitten named Creature.


Veterinary Assistant

Monique has recently graduated from the Veterinary Assistant program at Seneca College in 2021. She is deciding which path in Veterinary medicine she would like to further her studies in. For now, she is loving the clinic experience, meeting all the amazing patients and their people! Monique enjoys constantly learning new things and hanging out with her dog on her spare time. She has one fur-baby named Louie who is an Australian Shepherd.



One of the friendly voices/faces that will hear on when you call/come to our clinic. She is great at multi-tasking and ensuring all client communications are directed to the appropriate place and dealt with as soon as possible! She also helps keep our clinic clean and organized!
She has been with us here at the clinic for a long time!

She has a few fur babies that keep her busy at home a chihuahua named Burt Reynolds, and 2 cats (JET and Elliott)



Shannon has been working at Norwood Veterinary Services for roughly 9 years! She is very compassionate and skilled at her job. She has an amazing memory and remembers all clients and their lovely fur-babies! She has 3 cats (Slick, Pandora and the newest addition Bodhi) and two teenagers who keep her very busy! She spends most of her spare time at the rink or on the baseball fields!



Jo has been working in veterinary medicine for over 10 years!! She is a proud mom to her 3 children, 2 grandchildren, and has 4 furry kids at home! Her favourite part of her job is giving treats to both pets and children and snuggling with our clinic cat Maple whenever she gets a chance!
